Cricket Legend Returns to Action in IML 2024
Yuvraj Singh, one of India’s most iconic left-handed batsmen and a two-time World Cup winner, is set to represent India Masters in the first season of the International Masters League (IML). The tournament will take place from February 22 to March 16, 2024.

Renowned for his match-winning performances, Yuvraj was instrumental in India’s ICC T20 World Cup triumph in 2007, famously smashing six sixes in an over against England’s Stuart Broad. He was also a key figure in India’s 2011 ODI World Cup victory, earning the Player of the Tournament title for his outstanding all-round performance.
Yuvraj Excited to Reunite with Former Teammates
Speaking about his return to competitive cricket, Yuvraj expressed his enthusiasm for playing alongside legendary cricketers once again.
“Stepping onto the field with Sachin (Tendulkar) and my former teammates feels like reliving the golden days. The IML is a tribute to an era that shaped Indian cricket, and I am thrilled to create more unforgettable memories for the fans who have supported us over the years,” Yuvraj said.
Global Cricket Icons Join the IML
The IML will feature several cricketing legends, including South Africa’s JP Duminy and Sri Lanka’s Upul Tharanga.
Duminy, who will play for South Africa Masters, shared his excitement:
“Representing South Africa Masters in the first-ever IML is a huge honor. The tournament will showcase some of the greatest players in the game, and I am looking forward to an exhilarating competition.”
Similarly, Tharanga, who will represent Sri Lanka Masters, added:
