Dubai [UAE]: West Indies captain Hayley Matthews has returned to the top 10 in the ICC Women’s Batting Rankings after a stellar performance in her latest ODI outing. Matthews’ seventh international ODI century, a remarkable 106 off 109 balls, has propelled her to joint-seventh position with a rating of 652. She now shares the spot with Australia’s Beth Mooney, according to the latest ICC update.

Consistent Performances with the Bat
While Matthews impressed with her century, her score of just four runs in the third ODI caused a minor dip in her overall standings, allowing Chamari Athapaththu to move ahead to second place in the rankings.
Elsewhere, Indian players also made strides in the rankings. Jemimah Rodrigues jumped four places to approach the top 20, thanks to her contributions of 29 and 52 in Vadodara. Richa Ghosh climbed seven spots to 41st, while West Indies all-rounder Chinelle Henry leaped 21 places to 65th following her half-century in the third ODI.
Notable Bowling Achievements
Indian off-spinner Deepti Sharma dominated with the ball, claiming eight wickets in two matches, including a sensational 6/31 in the third ODI. Although this performance only moved her up one spot to fifth in the rankings, her rating of 665 has brought her closer to Marizanne Kapp, who occupies the fourth spot.
Hayley Matthews also advanced in the bowling rankings, climbing two places to seventh, overtaking Charlie Dean and Nahida Akter in a tightly packed top 10. Additionally, Titas Sadhu entered the top 100 for the first time, showcasing her potential as a rising star.
All-Rounder Rankings and Other Highlights
Despite their strong performances, both Matthews and Deepti remained static in the ICC All-Rounder Rankings, retaining their positions at third and sixth, respectively. Chinelle Henry’s efforts, however, saw her climb six spots to a shared 27th position with Megan Schutt.
These updates reflect the dynamic nature of international women’s cricket, with players continuing to push boundaries and deliver standout performances as the year comes to a close.
