India, having already sealed the T20I series against Bangladesh with two commanding victories, may be set to make changes for the final match. With an eye on giving more players international exposure, assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate has hinted at the possibility of fast bowler Harshit Rana making his debut in the third T20I.

Rana, who made a name for himself in the 2024 IPL by playing a pivotal role in Kolkata Knight Riders’ title-winning campaign, could be included in the playing XI for the first time. Ten Doeschate, speaking on the eve of the final T20I in Hyderabad, emphasized the importance of utilizing these series to expose new talent.
“There’s great depth in the squad, with many players having gained IPL experience. We want to give as many guys as possible a chance at the international level. Someone like Harshit Rana is definitely in contention to play,” said Ten Doeschate. He also mentioned that Tilak Varma, who joined the squad later, is another young player the team is eager to give opportunities to.
Sanju Samson Likely to Get Another Chance
Ten Doeschate further revealed that despite Jitesh Sharma waiting in the wings, the team management is inclined to give Sanju Samson another game. Samson has been opening the innings alongside Abhishek Sharma in the series so far. “Jitesh is ready, but we want to give Sanju another opportunity. Our original plan was to win the series first, then try a few fresh faces for the last game,” Ten Doeschate explained.
Focus on Completing a 5-0 Series Sweep
Despite considering changes to the lineup, Ten Doeschate emphasized that India’s main objective remains winning the third T20I and completing a perfect 5-0 series sweep over Bangladesh, which includes the preceding 2-0 Test series victory. “The message from Gauti (Gautam Gambhir) has been clear—every game for your country matters, and you must always play under pressure. Our focus is on winning tomorrow and finishing the series 5-0,” he concluded.
With potential debuts on the horizon and young talent eager to prove themselves, India will look to maintain their dominant form and end the series on a high note in Hyderabad.
