FC Goa is thrilled to announce the signing of 18-year-old forward Alan Saji from the Reliance Foundation Young Champs (RFYC) academy. The young player will be joining the team on a multi-year deal, set to make his mark in the 2024-25 season and beyond.

Alan Saji’s Exciting Transition

Alan Saji expressed his enthusiasm about joining FC Goa: “It’s a dream come true to join FC Goa. I’ve always aspired to work with experienced players, and I’m excited about the opportunity to learn and grow with them. The club’s playing style, similar to what I’m used to at RFYC, makes this the ideal place for me to demonstrate my skills and continue my development.”

Hailing from Kerala, Alan has been a standout performer at RFYC since he joined at age 12. His achievements include participating in the highly regarded Sanix Cup in Japan earlier this year, where he was named to the Team of the Tournament. He continued his impressive form upon returning to India, scoring in successive matches in the Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL).

FC Goa’s Head Coach, Manolo Marquez, is enthusiastic about the new addition: “Alan Saji is a remarkable talent with a bright future ahead. He is quick, courageous, and adept in the box, with a strong aerial presence. His growth has been impressive, and we’re excited to provide him with a platform to refine his skills further. We believe he has the potential to be a significant player for both FC Goa and Indian football.”

RFYC’s spokesperson highlighted Alan’s versatility and dedication: “Alan has evolved into one of the most exciting young talents in Indian football. His ability to perform effectively across the front line reflects his versatility and commitment. We’re confident that FC Goa will offer him the perfect environment to advance his career and contribute to the sport’s growth in India.”

With this strategic signing, FC Goa continues to strengthen its roster, focusing on the development of emerging talents and the advancement of Indian football.
