Champions Trophy 2025: Tickets for All India Matches Sold Out in Minutes

February 4, 2025

The excitement for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 is at an all-time high as tickets for all of India’s matches were snapped up within minutes of going on sale. Fans rushed to secure their seats as the International Cricket Council (ICC) opened online general ticket sales on February 3 at 16:00 Gulf Standard Time (GST).

Unprecedented Demand for India’s Matches

As expected, the most sought-after fixture was the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan clash on February 23. Within moments of the sale going live, tickets for this match were completely sold out. The demand was equally intense for India’s other group-stage matches against Bangladesh (February 20) and New Zealand (March 2), leaving many fans disappointed as they couldn’t secure tickets despite long wait times in the online queue.

All of India’s matches in the tournament will be played at the Dubai International Stadium in the UAE. The overwhelming response from fans highlights the immense craze for the prestigious tournament, which will feature eight of the world’s top cricketing nations competing in 15 high-stakes matches over 19 days.

India’s Road to the Knockouts

Team India, led by Rohit Sharma, is placed in Group A alongside defending champions and hosts Pakistan, New Zealand, and Bangladesh. The tournament will kick off on February 19, with India beginning their campaign against Bangladesh on February 20. The group-stage schedule also includes the blockbuster encounter against Pakistan on February 23, followed by their final group match against New Zealand on March 2.

Given India’s strong reputation in ICC tournaments, fans are optimistic about their qualification for the knockout rounds. This was evident as tickets for India’s potential semi-final match on March 4 were also sold out in advance.

Hybrid Format and Other Matches in Demand

This edition of the Champions Trophy will be played in a hybrid format. While India’s matches are scheduled in the UAE, all other teams will play their group-stage fixtures in Pakistan, the official host of the tournament.

Apart from India’s matches, tickets for Pakistan’s group-stage encounters against Bangladesh and New Zealand in Lahore were also in high demand and sold out quickly. Additionally, tickets for the second semi-final, set to be held in Lahore, were completely booked.

Final Match Tickets Yet to Be Released

The grand finale of the Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled for March 9. However, tickets for the final will only be released after the conclusion of the first semi-final in Dubai.

With such an overwhelming response from cricket enthusiasts, the Champions Trophy 2025 promises to be an electrifying tournament, showcasing intense battles between the world’s best teams.
