Delhi Golfer Cards 66 to Secure Top Spot in Opening Round
Jamshedpur, India – Delhi-based teenage amateur Shat Mishra delivered an impressive performance in the opening round of Pre-Qualifying II at the PGTI Qualifying School 2025, played at Golmuri Golf Course in Jamshedpur. The 19-year-old, who hails from the DLF Golf & Country Club, Gurugram, posted a stellar five-under 66 to claim the first-round lead.

Mishra, a former India No. 1 in junior golf, showcased strong ball-striking skills throughout the day, capitalizing on three of the four par-5s to secure birdies. He also displayed precision on the par-3 17th and 7th holes, landing the ball within five feet to set up additional birdie opportunities.
Starting from the 10th tee, Mishra faced challenging conditions early in the morning but gradually built momentum. “It was a slow start due to the chilly weather, but my focus was on hitting as many regulations as possible and creating birdie chances. I gained momentum at the turn, where I made three quick birdies. Finishing strong and keeping my card clean was crucial,” said Mishra in a PGTI press release. He also expressed confidence from his past experience at Golmuri, where he played well in November.
Trailing closely behind, Md Muaj of Bangladesh secured the second position with a four-under 67.
