The opener’s masterclass, spanning 147 balls and featuring five boundaries and 10 towering sixes, anchored Pakistan to a formidable total of 281 for seven in their allotted 50 overs.
Shahzaib’s efforts were bolstered by a vital 160-run partnership with Usman Khan, who contributed a steady 60 off 94 deliveries. This foundation allowed Pakistan to build momentum, with Shahzaib adding another crucial 71 runs for the third wicket alongside Muhammad Riazullah, who chipped in with 27 runs.
India’s bowling attack was spearheaded by Samarth Nagaraj, who took 3 for 45, while Ayush Mhatre provided support with a tight spell of 2 for 30.
