Siraj, who debuted for RCB in 2018 and became one of the team’s most consistent performers, expressed immense gratitude and nostalgia in his emotional letter. “The seven years with RCB will always be close to my heart,” he wrote. He further admitted the pain of RCB’s title drought despite years of effort. “There were nights when the losses hurt more than words can explain, but your belief kept me going. I’ve seen your tears during tough times and your celebrations during victories. You are truly one of a kind, and I’ll cherish your love and loyalty forever.”
A New Chapter with Gujarat Titans
Although his time with RCB has ended, Siraj’s IPL journey continues with the Gujarat Titans (GT), who acquired him for a staggering ₹12.25 crore. Joining a formidable pace attack alongside Kagiso Rabada and Prasidh Krishna, Siraj is set to play a pivotal role in GT’s bowling lineup, taking over the mantle from Mohammed Shami.
Meanwhile, RCB has restructured its bowling unit with players like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, Yash Dayal, and Nuwan Thusara stepping up to fill the void left by Siraj.
